NYTimes shifted their strategy to remain relevant as a news organization

Newspaper companies across the country have been affected by the digital age. The Threat of Substitution for news is prolific. Even Twitter is becoming more mainstream as world crises erupt. Craigslist has taken over the classifieds (along with Ebay). Monster has taken over the want ads. What’s left for local papers? Neighborhood and local news along with the obits. National/International News players can charge for their offerings and be accepted in the marketplace. Will the disruption process lead to concentration of power in the hands of a few of the fourth estate?
